Who am I?
I am a mom of two teenage boys that have my heart and have taught me more than I could have ever imagined!   Our job as parents is to teach our children how to live life to the fullest, be their guide.  If you are living passionately, purposefully,  and intentionally, that is what you are teaching your children. 

There was a time in my life when I put music away to raise my children because I felt that was the right thing to do, not realizing I was tucking away an important part of who I was.  When my mom passed away, and I was in the darkest place of my life, I felt this undeniable pull to music as it brought me great comfort.  So it was then that I decided to start being intentional and mindful of the things that really mattered to me.  I answered an ad for a singer in a band and have had  the privilege of working with the most talented musicians in RVA.  I learned so much from each and every experience. But when LadySmyth formed, I realized I was a part of something very special! In my forties, I had a beautiful family and got to do the thing I loved and always dreamed of doing, music!

I encourage everybody to pursue what it is you are passionate about in life because when you do, you get to really live!

Music is life. It is everyone’s hopes  & dreams, ups & downs, the roller coaster of life wrapped up in a song! 

Music is life and it unites us all.
