From his birth in a booth at the neighborhood sports bar whilst Southern Rock cover band Eww! That Smell played in the background, Ben seemed almost destined to play in a cover band. In fact, he learned to play air guitar before he could even walk. His almost instinctive tendency to ask constantly, “How’s everyone feeling?” made him very popular amongst his schoolmates during his youth. It was his breakout performance of “Stairway to Heaven” at his clown college talent show that later inspired music stores everywhere to ban the in-store playing of the song, stating “the song had reached it’s pinnacle” and “should be allowed to retire in peace.” When he was asked, “Why would you want to give up every weekend to play music” his response: “I just want to inspire others to take care of their bartenders and wait staff.”   

  A Richmond native and lover of all genres of music, Ben has been playing in bands since he was a teenager. He started by playing in his church, where he first developed an appreciation for collaborating with other musicians. As that appreciation grew, so did a desire to play all styles of popular music and to develop more as a musician. Through the years he has performed in bands that focused on rock, country, blues, pop, and funk. He has played several different instruments along the way. With each new project he seeks to learn and try something new.
